The debut album from Breasts combines a manifold of sonic fabric and instruments into a singular (though polyphonic), creepy articulation. Drums, bass, electric guitars, acoustic guitars, toy guitars, organs, keyboards, horns, accordion and more converge to create a raucus yet comfortable mood.
Review from Rapid Transit Radio
Breasts is not a band that will make it big. They are not the type to make it to Billboards top ten in the college market. They will probably sell the albums they have made to the minor contingency of people who don’t relate with the trend flood that seems so unavoidable. This is an album made by musicians that like to make music to listen to themselves. They are not creating an image or trying to get on MTV.
It’s a recording full of long psyche lingering. It’s repetitive and well recorded. It’s not something that you would bring to a dance party. It’s not hype. It’s the kind of music you would find backing an obscure sci-fi, possibly a thriller.
